Question 1

I’m not funny. Can I still come?

Accepted Answer

Yes, honestly. This is a confidence course that happens to use comedy. Most people who join don’t think they’re funny. Most people who finish are pleasantly surprised.

Question 2

Is this a course for people who want to be comedians?

Accepted Answer

It’s a course for people who want to be more confident. Some students catch the bug and keep performing, and that’s brilliant, but most come to feel braver in everyday life. You’ll never be the only nervous one in the room.

Question 3

Do I have to perform at the end?

Accepted Answer

The show is the goal and almost everyone does it, but nobody is ever forced. By then you’ll be ready, and you’ll have the whole group backing you.

Question 4

Do I need any experience?

Accepted Answer

None at all. Le Cluck is built for beginners.

Question 5

What if I’m really nervous?

Accepted Answer

Good. That’s exactly who it’s for. Everything starts gently and builds at your pace.

Question 6

How big are the groups?

Accepted Answer

Never more than eight people, so everyone gets time and attention, and nobody can hide at the back (in the nicest way).

Question 7

Where do the sessions happen?

Accepted Answer

In warm, friendly venues in Portslade, handy for Hove, Brighton and Shoreham. Not a big, intimidating comedy club: that’s on purpose. You’ll get the full details when you book.

Question 8

When is the next course?

Accepted Answer

Dates are coming soon. Join the list and you’ll hear first. Groups are small, so places go quickly.

Question 9

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Get in touch and Tori will send you the details for the next course.

Question 10

Which charity does the show support?

Accepted Answer

Each group chooses its own. It’s one of the best parts of the course: you’re not on stage to be judged, you’re on stage to do something good.

Question 11

Do you run workshops for companies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Le Cluck runs confidence workshops for teams, from presentation nerves to team bonding. See the For Teams page.
